UN Laissez-passer allows the holder to travel to the Republic of Lithuania
without a visa for up to 90 days within half a year.

Visas are issued at diplomatic missions or consular offices of the Republic
of Lithuania abroad.

• a valid travel document;
• an established form of application for Shengen Visa;
• one photo of 35x45 mm, corresponding to the age of an alien;
• the receipt of the paid consular fee;
• a valid document certifying his/her health insurance;
• Additional documents for issuing a certain type of visa shall be submitted.

If a person obtained a Ph.D. diploma abroad and
wants it to be recognised in Lithuania, the process
of nostrification is necessary. Ph.D. degrees in Lithuania
are nostrificated by the Science Council of Lithuania.

Foreign higher education qualifications (e.g. bachelor or master degrees) and

Yes, all foreigners constantly living in Lithuania receive compulsory health
insurance, as welll as legal employees with their juveniles living in
Lithuanian Republic temporary.
