EURAXESS LITHUANIA

RIGHTS

EURAXESS Rights refers to the European Charter for
Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the
Recruitment of Researchers
, and their implementation.
These two documents spell out the rights, roles and
responsibilities of researchers as well as of their
employers and funders. By the end of 2008 about 900
institutions from about 30 European and non-European
countries have signed up Charter and Code.

Any organization employing or funding researchers (private
companies, universities, research centres etc.) can sign up.
It is not necessary for organizations to be based in the European
Union, they may be located all over the world. Signing the Charter
and Code means that an organization voluntarily commits to implementing
the common objectives outlined in both documents. If you care about your
Human Resources and you want to benefit from international visibility, these
are several of reasons to sign the Charter and Code and to join a truly
pan-European network consisting of researchers and research organizations.
And for researchers who choose such organizations recruitment transparency
is guaranteed, mobility experience is valued and work-life balance is respected.

The signature process is simple. If your organization agrees with the principles of the Charter and Code, you may contact rtd-charter@ec.europa.eu and EURAXESS Rights team will guide you through the signature process.
