Outline

Research grants enable individuals who have completed their academic training to conduct at any time research projects with clearly defined topics and durations, regard-less of the subject.

Eligibility

German-based researchers (All researchers based at a German research institution in Germany or abroad who have completed their research training, generally by obtaining a doctorate, are eligible to apply).

What is funded

Following modules are possible: Basic Module (direct project costs, project-specific staff, and instrumentation) Temporary Positions for Principal Investigators Replacements Temporary Substitutes for Clinicians Project-Specific Workshops Mercator Fellows Public Relations Extend of funding depends on the selected modules

Duration

The maximum initial funding duration is three years. Subsequently, a renewal proposal may be submitted.
